If you, your loved one, or patient over age 60 needs help getting to their non-emergency medical appointment...

RIDES+ Membership

For seniors who don’t drive, getting to a doctor’s appointment can be overwhelming. Joining the RIDES+ member community helps power a local solution for local seniors.

Memberships are available for individuals (riders and non-riders) along with organizations.

Together, we're advancing an independent and meaningful solution for our neighbors.

Rider-members are encouraged to watch the following helpful videos to learn about the online scheduling tool. There are four tutorial videos in total - all focused on the Rider experience. Please note: some details are not specific to the RIDES+ program.

Happy Elderly Couple.

At IVCG, we care too much to sit idly by and let our neighbors’ health decline from lack of necessary medical attention. That’s why we steward the low-cost RIDES+ Membership program. With volunteer support and limited staff back-up, we’re ready to help you, your loved one, or your patient get to the next doctor’s visit.

We provide door-to-door service.

No senior should be stuck in the cold or heat waiting for a ride.

Riders (or their loved ones) can join at the quarterly or annual levels. Benefits include priority routing and access to your Personal Transportation Account where requests can be made and monitored from the convenience of your personal computer.

Non-rider individuals can proclaim their community support and stay connected with a yearly contribution of just $50. Are you ready to stand in solidarity with local seniors for less than 14 cents per day?

Organizations enjoy an array of benefits - including vouchers for seniors in their networks who need ride support (Advocate and Navigator levels). Is your medical center, insurance provider, or local business an active member with RIDES+?  If not, invite them to join today!

We salute the IVCG Volunteers who provide most client rides. Personal vehicles are utilized (we cannot accommodate wheelchairs). Riders may request ride support Monday - Friday. Please try to schedule appointments within the 9 - 4pm timeframe.  Under special circumstances, RIDES+ members may request early and late rides if necessary - understanding that back-up support for those hours cannot be promised.

Reliability in Motion

With RIDES+ Rider Membership levels, you can book non-emergency medical rides during your active membership period.

Membership Isn’t For Everyone

If for any reason, you prefer not to purchase a membership, our volunteers will try and help you when the time, date, and location works for their schedule. This free option is for IVCG's "Community Riders".

TIPS and Disclaimers for MEMBERS

For RIDER-MEMBERS:

  • Individual RIDER memberships are limited due to volunteer constraints.

  • We cannot promise coverage for more than one ride/week - although we will always attempt to cover as many requests as possible.

  • After joining, you'll gain access to your online account (called your "Personal Transportation Account" or PTA for short).

  • Your requests can be submitted through your PTA or by calling 475-257-6537 to leave a message with your appt. details.

  • After scheduling your doctor's appointment, share your ride request with as much advanced notice as you wish.

    • NOTE: We cannot promise coverage for ride requests made with less than 48 hours from the appt. time.

  • The day PRIOR to your ride, your driver will call to review logistics (time of pickup, etc), so please answer your phone, even if you don't recognize the number.

  • The RIDES+ community includes a growing number of neighbors who recognize the importance of, and support for, independent transportation solutions that address senior needs. In the spirit of relational care, please be kind, mindful, and mutually supportive.

  • All riders must be registered as clients with IVCG in order to obtain transportation support. Rider-Members do NOT need to go through the full client intake required by the state and Agency on Aging (questions stemming from the "FORM 5").

  • For seniors needing non-emergency medical ride support and *cannot* afford to join the RIDES+ program, the Community Rider option is available without the RIDES+ routing prioritization or access to the personal transportation account.

If you have questions about our client policies, please review our "service guidelines".
