Hello

Board Secretary. Board service: 3/13/2024 – present.

My Story

Sarah Domena’s passion for strengthening the community is evident in her role as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven. Here, she concentrates on strategic and grassroots marketing, community engagement, and fostering philanthropy with various donors and community organizations to accomplish charitable objectives and enhance community support.
Sarah holds a BS in Marketing and Communications from Southern Connecticut State University and an MBA from Albertus Magnus College, both in New Haven.

Her previous roles have been in development, community outreach, and fundraising for local non-profits, as well as Marketing and Customer Relations in the corporate sector. Sarah is a graduate of the Milford Chapter of PLTI (Parent/Teacher Leadership Institute), member of the Steering Committee for the Non-Profits Resource Council of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, and sits on the Advisory Board for the Women in Leadership program through the University of New Haven.

Sarah is honored to serve on the IVCG Executive Committee as Board Secretary, and on the Development Committee. The IVCG mission aligns perfectly with her passion for supporting the community, particularly focusing on the often-overlooked aging population. Her expertise in marketing, communications, and development will pave the way for greater sustainability and organizational growth.

Sarah considers her greatest achievement to be her family, where she is a proud mom of 3 extremely active boys; Noah, Wes, and Adam, whom she is raising with her husband, Jay, along with their dog, Cannon, and cats, Gordy and Reggie. In her ‘free’ time, Sarah can be found watching her sons play competitive basketball, instructing indoor cycling classes (where she has held a certificate for over 10 years), hiking, kayaking, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises.

I invite you to join me in supporting IVCG—whether by volunteering, spreading the word, or making a gift. Together, we can ensure that no aging adult in our community feels isolated and that every neighbor has access to the care and connection they deserve.
