Hello
Board service: 12/1/2025 – present.
My Story
I have worked in the senior living field for almost 30 years in a variety of senior leadership positions. I choose to enter this field due to the respect I have for our seniors as I truly believe we can learn much from our elders!
Since 2008 I have worked at Whitney Center, a senior living community in Hamden, CT. Whitney Center’s mission Excellence in Senior Living, is the expression of our organization’s belief that every individual, regardless of age, physical ability, or cognitive capacity, has the inalienable right to self-determination and engagement in life toward the pursuit of their personal fulfillment.
I have primarily worked in operations, but more recently my focus is on community development and strategic initiatives. As much as our organization is committed to our residents quality of life, we are also committed to our employees’ growth and development.
To further my own growth, development and leadership, I trained to become a CARF-CCAC Surveyor, traveling the country surveying senior living communities to ensure compliance to strict quality care standards of operation. In addition, I am a 2018 graduate of the National LeadingAge Association’s Leadership Academy.
I also believe in the importance of community involvement. I am the past Chairperson of the Greater New Haven Healthcare Council. I currently serve on the Hamden Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Greater New Haven Jewish Federation Board, and on various committees in the community, with a particular focus on Government Affairs.
I have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Northeastern University. Additionally, I am a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
I live in Milford with my wife Emily. We have three grown children and a dog. In my spare time I love to read, hike, and bike.
